So much more.

So, I just got home from the Punchline show for Mikula, and I'm nursing my knee wound, and then heading over to Jill's house for awhile.

I'm not really sure if anyone but Chris reads my blog, but if so, check this out, it's pretty incredible.

This and That

So many things to blog about...

So, the trip to Altoona was a good time. I hung out with friends, saw a snake eat a mouse, and learned to play Guitar Hero on hard. All and all, I'd say it was a successful trip.

Also, as of this past Friday, I am officially employed to Hoss' Family Steak and Sea House as a hostess. I've definitely had better jobs, and by which, I mean all my jobs have been better than this one. I absolutely hate it there. I even had to go through the incredibly painful process of removing my nose piercing for this horrid job.

Another especially terrible part of this job is that I found out that I have to work this Friday, and although I'll get off in time to see Punchline, I won't get off in time to see Chris play in his new band, Logic, I'm sure Friday will be a great night anyway. Tony Hartman will be in town, which is always a treat, and Jill's parents are out of town, which has been a constant basically every weekend since I've known her, but is cool nonetheless.

On a lighter note, Saturday night, Chris and I had a Christmas party. It was filled with friends, merriment, and lots of delicious snacks. We had a rather physical game of Kings, many Christmas Dance-style pictures, and tons of Rock Band playing.

Also, since the last time I blogged, I finished knitting Chris an incredible black, white, and grey scarf. It was the first men's scarf I've ever knitted, and I think it came out pretty dang nice. I wish I had a picture to post of Chris in his spiffy new scarf. I'm sure all of my many readers would be very impressed. My next mission is to learn how to knit a blanket or afgan, preferably an afgan, although I have no idea what the difference is.

I guess I'm gonna get goin' if goin's what I need to get.

Altoona, Dents, Milk, and King

I'm currently riding my friend Jeff's car, on a voyage to Altoona to visit my long lost friend Dylan who goes to Penn State Altoona. I'm pretty excited, despite the fact that we made this same trip last Friday. On second thought, being that I just saw Dylan last week, maybe he's not so "long lost".

On a side note, King is recuperating, and seems to be fine.

Yesterday, two relatively awful things happened to me. I was leaving for WalMart late at night, and because of the dark, I accidentally backed into my stepbrother's girlfriend's car. Now I have to pay to fix the dent, which is especialy awesome because I'm unemployed. Then, I stopped at Chris's house, and went to get a drink of milk out of the carton, and it turned out to be sour. Gross!

Hopefully tonight will be considerably less awful, and a lot more party-full.

To blog or not to blog

I debated for a long time whether or not to get a blog. I've been reading more blogs lately than I have in the past, namely Chris's, Michael Ian Black's, Tony Hartman's, and a few others here and there. I decided to get one the other day when I was hanging out with Chris, and as he aptly noted in his latest blog, I chickened out when it was time to name my blog. I don't consider myself to be very witty or clever, and struggled to come up with something suitable to call my blog. This morning, however, I decided thatI would make one whether I came up with a clever title or not. "Ma Propre Vie" just means "My Own Life" in French. Being that I'm studying to be a french teacher (when I'm in school, that is), I thought it appropriate.

Anyway, today, I had to drive my dog, King, to the vet's, because he has something wrong with his ear and needs surgery. I've been a nervous wreck all day about it. Everyone says he should be fine, but until he gets picked up at 5:15, I'll be holding my breath.

That's King around Christmas last year. The picture doesn't really do justice to his dimensions, being that he weighs almost as much as I do now. Almost.

Well, I'm gonna go read my Cosmo and maybe watch some Jon & Kate Plus Eight. :)
